The Team Lead role sits within the wider group of Team Leaders at Equip, which is a fun, motivated and engaged team who are united through the mahi, and reports to our General Manager.
The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi:
- Lead a dynamic team at Koromiko House, our North Shore respite service
- Plan, organise, and evaluate service delivery to tangata whaiora
- Contribute to our supportive, empowering team culture
- Building and nurturing a small yet high-performing team of Registered Health Professionals
- Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional on-call shifts)
- Orchestrating the seamless delivery of our services
- Ensuring a safe and effective environment for all
- Continuously evaluating and improving our care practices
Koromiko House offers respite services in a safe, serene, and nurturing environment for up to seven tangata whai ora, 24/7. Guests typically stay between 4 to 10 days as they prepare to transition back to their homes. We pride ourselves on providing personalised support that fosters recovery and well-being, ensuring that each guest feels at home during their stay.
We empower our tangata whai ora, to chart their own course towards independence and well-being. Our holistic approach empowers individuals to set and achieve self-directed goals, reinforce positive routines, develop robust coping strategies and maximise their potential and quality of life.
As our Team Leader, you'll be the driving force behind success for tangata whai ora and the team of professionals in your team. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding our tangata whai ora through each stage of their wellness journey, setting the stage for their successful transition and continued growth.
You | Mōu:
We’re looking for individuals who share our values and have an inherent commitment and passion for supporting people in our communities.
Essential attributes:
- Registered Health Professional
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Clean, full NZ driver's license
- NZ resident or a valid NZ work visa
- Strong technology skills, with experience using Microsoft Office and databases
- Ability to build rapport and empathise with people from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrable personal commitment to and promotion of Equip core values
Desirable:
- Experience in the Mental Health sector
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural concepts
- Ki te kōrero koe i Te Reo Māori he painga! It’s a bonus if you speak Te Reo Māori!
