The Business Manager ensures the efficient running of the finance and accounting functions, together with the business support functions and provides high level administrative support to Senior Management and Board when required.
The administrative team is an integral part of the organization as they are often the first point of contact for businesses and members of the public seeking our services and make any visitors feel welcome to our Head Office. They also offer a range of support to management and staff across all departments.
The successful candidate for this varied role will undertake a flexible 40-hour Monday-Friday schedule based at our Mairangi Bay Head Office on the North Shore of Auckland. They will have a passion for improving health and well-being outcomes for the community and a strong alignment with Equips Core Values.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure the efficient running of the finance and accounting functions, together with the business support functions and provide high level administrative support to Senior Management and Board when required.
- Liase with the External Chartered Accountant, ensuring that all financial affairs of the organization are efficiently managed and timely reports prepared for management and the Board.
- Ensure all Vendor contract compliance is completed within expected timelines and to an acceptable standard.
- Maintain strong business relationships with external contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure the Data Provider has access to the data required.
- Line manage the administrative team.
- Ensure reports are completed within expected timelines to an acceptable standard.
- Advance the vision, mission, and strategic themes of Equip and work with the Senior Management Team to ensure the organization is proactive in growth and sustainability.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
You | Mōu
- Has sound experience with small business bookkeeping, ideally having used Xero.
- Has experience or can adapt to using modern accounting software for payables and payroll.
- Has strong planning and organisational skills.
- Have a sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be able to demonstrate bicultural concepts in practice, or willingness to learn.
- Has strong written and oral communication skills with good numerical ability.
- Is a team player who is also able to work autonomously.
- Builds strong working relationships based on respect and trust.
- Is experienced with Microsoft Office technologies and IT hardware.
- Has skills and experience in administration for senior management.
- Is experienced in contract management and the production of reports.
- Holds a Full B Class Driver’s license.
