The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi:
The Leadership position is mainly on site at Respite, working 40 hours preferred and being flexible regarding workdays over the 7 days a week, with an occasional on-call roster shift.
Primary Objectives for the Role:
- Establish and maintain a high performing team, working well as individuals and as a cohesive team
- Assist in managing financial, quality, administrative and operating systems
- Plan, organise, implement and evaluate the delivery of services to tangata whaiora.
- Supervise and manage the performance of staff
- Ensure a safe and effective service operation
- Be a contributing member of the management group and the Equip organisation
Skills and Experience:
- Registered Health Professional
- Have a sound knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be able to demonstrate bicultural concepts in practice, or willingness to learn.
- Comprehensive leadership skills
- Previous experience in Mental Health sector is advantageous
- Have a passion for mentoring others
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong technology skills, must be experienced in using Microsoft Office products and familiar with databases
- Strong alignment with Equip's core values
- A clean full NZ drivers licence
- NZ resident or a valid NZ work visa
- Ability to build rapport and empathise with people from diverse backgrounds
