Who is Equip?
We are an independent mental health Not for Profit organisation associated with Windsor Park Baptist Church and have a strong Christian ethos. With a staff of around 70, we are a values led organisation who truly care about the people we work with and for. About the Role
The administrative team is an integral part of the organisation as they are often the first point of contact for businesses and members of the public seeking our services and make any visitors feel welcome to our Head Office.
They also offer a range of support to management and staff across all departments. The Office Manager will oversee and supervise a small dedicated team in these tasks and holds some key responsibilities as outlined below.
The successful candidate for this varied role will undertake a flexible 32-hour week schedule based at our Mairangi Bay Head Office on the North Shore of Auckland. They will have a passion for improving health and well-being outcomes for the community.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure the efficient running of the organization’s business functions and provide high level administrative support to the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees when required.
Supervise and develop a small administrative team.
Ensure reports are completed within expected timelines to an acceptable standard.
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Advance the vision, mission and strategic themes of Equip and work with the Senior Management Team to ensure the organization is proactive in growth and sustainability.
Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has strong planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and application of them in the workplace.
- Has strong written and oral communication skills with good numerical ability.
- Is a team player who is also able to work autonomously.
- Builds strong working relationships based on respect and trust.
- Is experienced with Microsoft Office technologies and IT hardware.
- Has skills and experience in administration for senior management.
- Is experienced in contract management and the production of reports.
- Holds a clean Full NZ Driver’s license.
